Hello All,

My question is on small business- we are in the process of creating a “small business unit” as a lot of our small commercial accounts create headaches and aren’t super profitable. We looked into Patra and Layr who both have programs where they have a team that can manage small accounts under $2,500 in revenue (or whatever threshold we want), but we think we can do it more cost effectively by hiring an in house CSR to handle this small book. Does anyone have written procedures and criteria they would be willing to share (or comments on whether doing it in house or outsourcing is best)? We will not be paying producers on any renewals starting Jan 1 for accounts under $2,500 in revenue and also bumping up our new business minimum to $4,000. Any recommendations and written procedures would be greatly appreciated.
